Charlie Noble Nantucket

On South Water Street, you’ll find the Charlie Noble, a seafood marketplace that caters to families and is named like the smokestack of a ship’s galley. This restaurant is run by the same people who are responsible for Nantucket’s famous B-ACK Yard BBQ.

The cuisine served at The Charlie Noble is an authentic fusion of traditional and innovative New England regional fare. They provide a raw bar all day long in addition to other delicious dishes, including chorizo stuffies, whole belly clams, bluefish pate, and fried chicken that they make in-house. They offer an atmosphere that is informal while still being comfortable. The restaurant places a priority on quality and service.

The neighborhood folks are really enthusiastic about this establishment. We found this restaurant to be somewhat more affordable than others on Nantucket, despite the fact that the island as a whole is known for its high prices. If you sit in the far back, you’ll get a great view of the ocean.

Cliffside Beach Club, Nantucket

Since purchasing Cliffside Beach Club in 1958, the Currie family has managed it independently. Through three generations of family management, the hotel has expanded to include a gorgeous pool area, exercise and spa facilities, a resort-only private bar & café, and 22 exquisite guest rooms and suites. The lobby and pavilion, two of Cliffside’s first buildings, date back to the early 1900s and have been restored to their original grandeur while maintaining Nantucket’s renowned charm.

Although it has only 22 rooms, the resort’s unique blend of a boutique hotel and private beach club means that visitors may enjoy a wide variety of services and facilities not often offered at smaller resorts. St. Tropez’s European charm is brought to life in this one-of-a-kind and soothing ambiance. The hotel was chosen as one of the top resorts in New England by the prominent French publication Elle Décor, which featured it on its cover.

The hotel is located directly on the beach, about a mile from the heart of downtown Nantucket. It is conveniently close enough to walk to its shops, restaurants, and charming cobblestone streets, yet removed enough to appreciate the calm of an ocean-view hotel. Guests are able to walk directly from their rooms onto a pristine, exclusive beach. There aren’t many places to stay on Nantucket, and even fewer throughout the globe, that can match the combination of beautiful beachfront accommodations, a cozy resort atmosphere, and a location only minutes from the island’s most exciting and historic district.

Before spending the afternoon at the beach, visitors may get a workout in at Nantucket’s best gym or relax in the perfectly shaded pool area. Sip a drink while taking in the view of the ocean from the private bar, or retreat to the comfort of your own deck. It’s understandable that many visitors have a hard time tearing themselves away from the hotel.

Nantucket Tap Room

Nantucket’s Tap Room is located in the old Jared Coffin House. The Tap Room is known for its delicious à la carte steaks, but they also provide seafood dishes and salads. You may choose to enjoy lunch or supper at one of their numerous indoor tables or at one of their outdoor tables, which are shaded by awnings.

The Nantucket Tap Room is a traditional New England tavern serving up steak, seafood, and pub standards. As an update to the restaurant and bar that is open all year, it offers craft beer, wines from both the old and new worlds, and creative cocktails. This makes it once again the favorite place for locals and tourists to meet up after work.

In a word, their meals are superb. The beautiful decor, both indoors and out, and a wonderful patio setting. Share it with a companion for a romantic evening, or serve it to your kids for a special dinner they’ll really eat.

Company Of The Cauldron, Nantucket

Make a reservation at The Company of the Cauldron and eat like you have your own personal chef. This tiny red building in the center of Nantucket’s Historic District has a lot of character thanks to the ivy that grows all over the windows.

The antique baker’s rack inside the entryway is covered with blooms. Beyond the door, tables are subtly illuminated by candlelight. Both the kitchen and the dining room are open and connected. Three nights a week, soothing classical harp music plays in the background. The atmosphere is quite romantic.

Chef Keller’s open Heston kitchen at Company of the Cauldron has seasonal cuisine prepared with French expertise, eco-friendly sourcing practices, and the finest farm-to-table products, all served in a classic prix fixe format.

All of this shines a light on the most sought-after classics and takes comfort food to a new level. Cauldron hosts a nightly dinner party for people we have yet to meet, with Chef Keller personally greeting each guest. While the long-term, courteous, educated, and polished team attends to every detail so you can concentrate on your company. It truly is a dining experience unlike any other.
